Because books have been a tremendous aid on my spiritual journey, this week, I decided to think about which of those books have been the most helpful to me and share them with you. I do realize that just because a book happens to be perfect for me at a certain time, doesn’t neccesarily mean it’s the right time for you. However, these are books that I have come back to time and time again, only to find their message deeper and richer each time I read them. Perhaps they will do the same for you.
May blessings,
Paula
The Disappearance of the Universe, by Gary Renard
In the early 1990s, Gary Renard underwent a powerful spiritual awakening. As instructed, he slowly and carefully wrote The Disappearance of the Universe over a period of nine years. The result is this startling book about 17 mind-bending conversations that reoriented the author’s life and gave the world an uncompromising introduction to a spiritual teaching destined to change human history.
(I highly recommend reading this book prior to studying A Course in Miracles)
A Course in Miracles (ACIM)
A Course in Miracles is a year long self-study course in spirituality. It is the most difficult and yet, at the same time, the simplest course of study I have ever embarked on. Nothing else has ever come close to the amazing personal transformation I have experienced through studying this course.

“Whether you are a newcomer or a veteran on the path of self-improvement, I Had it All the Time will awaken you to a life so magnificent that you will laugh at the notion of improving what love made whole.” Alan Cohen
You Can Heal Your Life, by Louise L. Hay

Simple Abundance, A day book of comfort and joy, by Sarah Ban Breathnach
This lovely book contains 366 evocative essays – one for each day of the year (and your birthday). It was written for women who wish to live by their own light. In the past a woman’s spirituality has been separated from her lifestyle. Sarah reminds us that “the authentic self is the Soul made visible.”
Getting in the Gap, Making conscious contact with God through meditation, by Dr. Wayne Dyer
Nothing else has ever helped me meditate more deeply than this short book and accompanying CD.
A New Earth, Awakening to your life’s purpose, by Eckhart Tolle
The author shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.
The Power of Intention, by Dr. Wayne Dyer
In this book, intention is viewed as a force in the universe that allows the act of creation to take place. It isn’t something you do; it is an energy you are part of. The author views intention as a field of energy you can access to begin co-creating your life.
Stand Up for Your Life, by Cheryl Richardson
Cheryl takes you on a journey that will provide you with new “self-honoring” strategies to transcend your fear and self-doubt. It provides a practical step-by-step plan to build inner confidence and personal power.
