Plans #26/2013

ImageA Course in Miracles tells us that the healed mind does not plan. It allows itself to be guided by Spirit in each moment, free of concerns about the past or worries about the future. As the new year approaches, most of us try to make plans to somehow live differently and, hopefully, better than before. The first day of a new year symbolizes a clean slate for us. What I often forget, is that each and every moment is an opportunity to start over – to choose again. So, yes, I do have plans for the new year, but I’m going to begin them right now by resolving to give up my “own” plans in favor of the plan God has for my life. To the best of my ability, I am going to remember to ask Him where He wants me to go, what He wants me to do, what He wants me to say, and to whom. If I do that, I have faith that this new year will indeed be a happy one.

No matter what you plan, or do not plan, to do in this new year, may you find each and every moment blessed with the peace, love and joy that is God.

Let your spirit soar!

Christ Vision #25/2013

Image

“Christ’s eyes are open, and He will look on whatever you see with love if you accept His vision as yours. “ A Course in Miracles

Dear readers,

Christmas has a much deeper meaning for me this year. I finally realize what we are celebrating. It is not only the birth of Jesus into the world, but the birth of the Christ mind within each of us. Each time we remember to ask Him how to look upon this world through His vision of love, we are birthing Christ consciousness within ourselves. We are releasing our fearful, erroneous belief in smallness and limitation and rising up in glory. We are remembering the truth, that we are One with the Son of God, holy, innocent, and free, as God created us – eternally loving and loved.

This holiday season, wishing you Christ’s vision where, “love is the answer to every question, the response to every situation, the experience in every moment.” Neale Donald Walsch

Many blessings,
Paula

New and Improved? $24/2013

ImageI have a whole bookcase full of self-help books. I’ve been reading them for years. I still find books helpful, but there has been a shift in what I select to read. I used to focus on books showing me how to fix myself; how to make myself a better person (whatever that means!). What I read now reminds me that there’s nothing to fix; nothing to prove, or im-prove about myself in order to be worthy of love. I don’t need to re-invent myself. All I need to “do” is get my ego (that I created) out of the way and let the perfection that God created shine through me. I need to remember that I am like the oranges in the Simply Orange juice commercial, which they described as, “Not new. . . Not Improved . . . Still perfect.”

Let your spirit soar!
