Recently, I began facilitating a meditation group once a week at a senior center. One of the points I make often is that the solution to our perceived problems usually isn’t more doing or planning. The answers are often better found when we sit in silence and meditate. When we return to a more peaceful state of mind, we open ourselves up to hear guidance about what, if anything, we should do. But it starts with being still and listening, not with doing. Upon returning home from the group the other day, while reading, I came across the perfect saying to illustrate my point. Don’t just do something; sit there!”
