Has anyone ever told you to “Get lost!”? Well, I am telling you now. I don’t mean as in go away and don’t bother me. I mean get lost doing something you love to do; something so absorbing that you totally lose all track of time. For me, I often lose myself in my artwork or writing. More recently, I find I lose myself when facilitating a meditation group. And, what “self” am I losing? The small, ego self that I call Paula. I’m learning that losing our small self is no loss at all. In fact, it is the best thing we can possibly do! When we are “lost” in the creative moment, we lose our sense of limitation and allow our true, higher self to shine through. The love that we are gets a chance to express in wondrous ways.
I go back to what Michael Beckwith says. “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask yourself what is it that you love to do. Then, do that. That’s what the world needs, more people joyfully doing what they love to do.”
What is it that you love to do? I encourage you to make space in your day to do it. Go ahead.
GET LOST.
Let your spirit soar!
Paula
